Terms of Use — Carvia

Effective date: 1 June 2026 Last updated: 10 June 2026 App version: 1.0.2 (Build 28)

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Carvia iPhone app (“Carvia”, “the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Carvia.

Carvia is a free iPhone app distributed by Apple via the App Store. Optional Premium features are unlocked by an in-app purchase processed by Apple. Apple’s standard End User License Agreement (EULA) applies in addition to these terms.

2. What Carvia is

Carvia is a private, on-device parking-memory companion. It helps you remember where you parked, walk back to your car, and keep a light local history of your spots.

Carvia does not connect to your vehicle. It does not authenticate to any OEM, does not receive vehicle telemetry, and does not control any vehicle function.

3. Best-effort parking detection

Carvia uses iPhone signals (Apple’s CLVisit API, CMMotionActivity and, optionally, CarPlay/Bluetooth) to detect when you park and to estimate where you parked. This detection is best-effort, not guaranteed. It depends on:

A manual “Save my parking spot” action is always available as a fallback. We recommend using it whenever it really matters where you parked.

Vehicle recognition (optional). The first time Carvia sees an unknown car stereo (CarPlay or Bluetooth audio) it may ask once, “Is this your car?”. Confirming only stores the stereo’s audio name and system identifier on your iPhone so future parks attribute to the right car; it is a supporting signal for detection confidence and never required. Declining changes nothing and the question is never repeated for that vehicle. Carvia never scans for Bluetooth devices — it reads only the audio route iOS has already connected.

4. No vehicle connection / no vehicle control

To be unambiguous:

5. User responsibility

You are responsible for:

6. Location accuracy disclaimer

Parking coordinates shown in Carvia come from iOS positioning and may not be perfectly precise. They are best used as a visual aid alongside your own memory and any signage at the location.

6a. Find My Car arrow disclaimer

The Find My Car screen rotates an on-screen arrow toward your parked car using your iPhone’s magnetic compass and a great-circle bearing calculation. This is directional guidance, not an indoor positioning system. It does not claim centimetre-level or sub-metre accuracy and is not designed for navigating unfamiliar buildings, tunnels, or GPS-denied environments. In magnetically noisy locations (multi-storey concrete car parks, steel decks, near electromagnets) the heading becomes unreliable and the screen displays a calibration hint instead. Always use your eyes and common sense as the primary way of getting back to your car.

7. Safety disclaimer

Do not interact with Carvia while driving. Carvia is a passive convenience utility. It is not a navigation, driving-assistance, collision-avoidance or vehicle-safety product, and must not be relied on for any safety-critical decision.

8. App Store pricing and in-app purchases

Carvia is free to download from the Apple App Store in every region where it is offered.

The app contains one optional in-app purchase, Carvia Premium Lifetime (product ID com.anaskhedr.findmycar.premium.lifetime). Premium Lifetime is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the premium feature set listed in the App Store description (automatic parking detection, parking history, the Find My Car compass arrow, unlimited cars, premium widgets and Live Activities, and smart reminders) for the life of the product on the Apple ID that bought it.

Carvia Premium is not a subscription. There are no monthly, yearly, or recurring charges. There is no auto-renew. Future Premium features added to Carvia are included in the Lifetime unlock at no additional cost.

All purchases are processed by Apple under Apple’s standard App Store terms. Pricing, currency conversion and tax are set by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us; please use Apple’s “Report a Problem” page (https://reportaproblem.apple.com) to request a refund.

Restore Purchases. A Restore Purchases action is available on the paywall and in Settings → About & Legal. It re-queries Apple’s Transaction.currentEntitlements and unlocks Premium on this device if your Apple ID owns it. No data flows to us.

Promo / offer codes. If Carvia distributes promotional codes, they are issued by Apple via App Store Connect and redeemed through Apple’s standard offer-code sheet. We do not mint, validate or store codes ourselves. A redeemed code unlocks Premium through the same StoreKit entitlement path as a paid purchase.

8a. Apple as third-party beneficiary

The parties acknowledge that Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with the right to enforce them. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for Carvia. To the extent any in-app purchase fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price under its standard policies; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Carvia. Any claims relating to your purchase or use of Carvia Premium are governed by Apple’s standard App Store and EULA policies.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

10. Intellectual property

All brand names, model names, logos, and trade dress shown in Carvia belong to their respective owners. They are used here only to let you label your own car and locate your own parking spot. Carvia is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer.

The Carvia app, its UI, its source code, its bundled car illustrations and its name are © the Carvia developer.

11. No warranty

Carvia is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of location data, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including missed parking spots, parking fines, towing costs, or any inconvenience caused by reliance on the app.

In jurisdictions where this limitation is not permitted, the developer’s total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for Carvia in the twelve months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to the service

Carvia may evolve over time. We may add, modify or remove features in future updates. If a feature you rely on changes materially, we will note it in the App Store release notes.

14. Termination

You may stop using Carvia at any time by deleting the app from your iPhone. We may stop offering Carvia in your region, or in all regions, at any time and without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, no warranty, limitation of liability) will survive.

15. Regional availability

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available in the app at Settings → About & Legal → Terms of Use and at the public URL printed in the footer of the in-app screen.
