Delete Account — Carvia
Effective date: 23 May 2026 Last updated: 10 June 2026 App version: 1.0.2 (Build 28)
Carvia stores everything on your iPhone. There is no Carvia “account” on any server. Deleting your data is immediate, local, and complete.
How to delete your data in the app
- Open Carvia.
- Tap the Settings tab (gear icon).
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete Everything.
The app returns you to onboarding right away.
Prefer to delete just the car (not your name or onboarding state)? Tap Settings → Garage → Delete Car instead. That removes the car, its photo, its parking history and any car-scoped preferences while leaving your onboarding intact.
What gets deleted
When you confirm Delete Account, the following are erased immediately from your iPhone:
- Saved cars — every car profile in your garage, including any remembered vehicle identity (the CarPlay / Bluetooth audio name you may have confirmed with “Is this your car?”).
- Parking history — every parking event, including notes, attached photos, and the saved vehicle heading.
- Preferences — units, notification toggles, reminder delay, parking mode, Live Activity toggle, garage view mode, rate-prompt state, and the list of vehicles you declined to remember.
- Notifications — all pending and delivered Carvia notifications are cancelled.
- Live Activity — any running Lock-Screen / Dynamic-Island parking activity is ended immediately.
- Apple Sign In name — the optional display name you chose to share with Carvia (only ever stored locally).
- Apple Watch mirror — the parking snapshot on a paired watch is emptied on the next sync (the watch never holds its own database).
- Onboarding state — the app returns to the Welcome screen.
What does NOT get deleted (because we do not control it)
- App Store purchase record — your one-time Carvia Premium Lifetime purchase is controlled by Apple. Carvia cannot remove a purchase record from your Apple ID. If you want to manage your App Store purchases, use the Apple App Store directly.
- iCloud device backups — if you have a system-wide iCloud iPhone backup that included Carvia data, that backup is owned by your Apple ID and is not something Carvia can reach into.
- Emails you’ve already sent to support.carvia@gmail.com — these are ordinary email messages; you can ask us to delete them by replying to the thread.
Timeframe
The on-device deletion runs in the same tap. There is no waiting period. There is no “soft delete” — the SwiftData store is truncated and the preferences are removed in one transaction.
Uninstalling the app
If you also delete the Carvia app from your iPhone, iOS will remove the application container itself — which contains anything Carvia ever stored. After this, no Carvia data remains on the device.
I do not have an account — why is this called “Delete Account”?
Carvia uses the label “Delete Account” so it is easy to find and matches the wording App Store reviewers expect. There is no remote account behind it — the action erases your local Carvia data.
